Since the publication of Raymond Moody's Life After Life in 1975, near-death experiences (NDEs_ have entered the zeitgeist. Here are links to profiles of those who have shared their NDEs, with summaries of their stories and the insights they have shared in books, interviews, and elsewhere.

Here are some of what we'll call "classic" near-death experiences, those that have been shared numerous times in media, and have a depth of both experience and insight.
Howard Storm
Howard Storm had a near-death experience in a Paris hospital in 1974. His NDE was originally one of the richest and most in-depth experiences in classic literature on the subject.
Bill Tortorella left his body in a Tucson hotel room in 1985.
Franco Romero
Franco had his first near-death experience as a very young child then had a follow-up experience in his teens. He is now a best-selling author.
